Makara Sankranti was celebrated by the staff and students on Saturday,13-01-2024.

This special festival signifies the conclusion of winter and the arrival of a fresh harvest season. In Hinduism, Makar Sankranti is a day devoted to honoring the Sun God. It is regarded as a propitious occasion due to its astrological importance. Makar Sankranti is a popular festival celebrated in many parts of India.

Makar’ means Capricorn and ‘sankranti’ means transition, so ‘Makar Sankranti’ means the transition of sun into the Capricorn of the zodiac which is believed as one of the most auspicious occasion as per Hinduism and welcomed by the people with lots of celebration and festivities.

Salad Making Activity

Salads form a very important part in our daily diet. To explain the same, nursery kids had ‘’salad making activity’’ with the help of their teachers. Kids were very excited with the idea of making salad in school.

Kids were shown videos to enhance the use of vegetables used in salad in form of animted videos. Well, the activity took place outside the classroom giving them a different environment. All the kids relished and enjoyed their bowl of salad. Most of kids finished and asked for more, while others gave it a try.

We would also like to thank all the parents who co-operated and made the activity successful.

Overall it was an activity which had learning with fun.

Krishna Janmashtami

At Sri Aham Aathma Vidyalaya, Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated by the staff and students on Wednesday, September 06, 2023. Janmashtami is celebrated as a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces.

A splendid and colorful performance by the Students of Prep II, depicting the birth of Lord Krishna with a message of victory of good over evil. Students truly communicated the message that “Every moment of life is worth a Celebration’s “words” that the Pre-Primary stars shared when we asked what this festival meant to them: ” fun” “yummy snacks” “no class” dress up” “dance” “music” “video time”. Look at the naughty Little Krishnas & beautiful Radha’s all were excited to celebrate the day. The more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”

Children came dressed in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna. The presentation depicted the varied images of life from birth to manhood transporting one to the world of splendor, color, myth and legend. It was a beautiful presentation with joyous melody and twirling dancers.

Raksha Bandhan!

It is one of the biggest and significant festivals of India and small wonder that siblings eagerly look forward to it. The day is marked by get-togethers, tying of the sacred thread, gorging on delicious food preparations, and merriment.

Varamahalakshmi Vrata

Varamahalakshmi Vrata is a festival to propitiate the goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu, one of the Hindu Trinity. Varalakshmi is one who grants boons (Varam). It is an important pooja performed by many women in the states of Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The Hindu festival going by the name ‘Vara maha Lakshmi Vrata’ is celebrated on the Second Friday or the Friday before full moon day – Poornima in the month of Śravaṇā, also called Śawan in Hindi and Aadi in Tamil which corresponds to the Gregorian months of July–August. We celebrated Varamahalakshmi Festival in a grand way. Students offered arati and prayer to the God and sweets were distributed.

Independence Day Celebration

It was a day in the history of India when the country got freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break the shackles. People of the country celebrate this national festival every year with great pomp and show. On this day we pay tribute and express gratitude towards all the freedom fighters. Our little leaders of Aham Aathma Vidyalaya, paid their homage to our freedom fighters by participating in Fancy Dress Competition. The motive of the activity was to connect children to our history and be respectful towards our Nation.

What an incredible day of celebrating Independence and culture! Our school’s Independence Day celebration followed by the mesmerizing cultural program was a true testament to the rich heritage and unity that binds us together. A big shoutout to all the talented performers and enthusiastic participants who made this day unforgettable. Let the spirit of freedom and diversity continue to shine bright! 🎉🎭

Investiture Ceremony

Aham Aathma Vidyalaya motto is to create leaders of tomorrow and there is a special ceremony that turned into reality. For us, Investiture Ceremony is not just about providing titles, but also about conferring responsibilities to the students, to take charge and take it to the height they desire with their leadership and decision-making skills, communication and teamwork.

At this ceremony, a school prefectorial board is formed after scrutinous interviewing and selection, student voting which gave them a feel of functioning of an official administrative body. The selected students were honoured with their respective badges such as Head Girl, Head Boy, Sport Captain etc., and the student council members took an oath to faithfully work for the school.

The objective behind was “Ecosystem Restoration’ through simple yet effective ways like growing trees, greening cities, changing diets or cleaning up rivers and coasts. This is the generation which needs to make peace with future to let the nature heal.

The tiny tots participated zealously in the event. They participated in many activities to generate awareness, with a hope that Mother Nature recovers herself. They are on a global mission to revive our environment and ready to work towards its restoration
